R is for Rocket and also for Ray Bradbury, who inspired me, feeding my imagination at an early age. It was The Martian Chronicles, Something Wicked this Way Comes and The Ray Bradbury Theater which first made an impact, as I was a child of television, but the words on the page soon followed. Fahrenheit 451, The October Country and all those short stories all left their mark. There can be no doubt that this “real” world and my own personal universe were made better by the worlds Bradbury imagined.
